Usually to get kids to warm up I have to try to act silly to get them to open up… but the Sarno kids have more personality than you can imagine. These kids are hilarious.We had fun romping in the leaves and cracking up at each other. Love the Sarno family and wish them the best!!

Well, this family is just the cutest and I had fun getting some shots in their backyard with their cute doggie, Taxi. What a great name. I was amazed we found some leaves on the trees still and took advantage of golden hour. Can’t wait to see some of these hung on their walls of their gorgeous home!

Point Reyes is such a fun escape from Petaluma and we captured some fun family photos of Marina, Harley and their kiddos, Penelope and Hudson. I took one look at Marina’s dress and I was like oh yeah we are gonna do some twirls with that! 💃 Luckily, they just moved from San Anselmo to Petaluma so we get to hang out more often with this awesome family!

These faces! They are all so full of personality. Kingston, the little guy, wasn’t feeling it in the beginning so we all went and got a wicked slush 🍧or a Starbucks to let the sugar kick in. As you can see it did it’s job. Kinyatta is one of the most vivacious, cool and all encompassing love mommas I know and she gives everything her all. I loved photographing her and John and her tribe. Here’s to more sessions infused with sugar! 🍨

When the backlight tips just rightly so on your family portrait session at China Camp Beach in Marin County you get this splendid halo of light. I love how fleeting it is and if you don’t shoot fast you will miss it. We had a lot of fun exploring all the backdrops for the Kabat Family Holiday Portrait session. These charming family portraits were taken in a couple of the most visually interesting Marin County location–the uber cool Point Reyes Shipwreck in Inverness. So fun being a family portrait photographer and seeing the love between children and their parents. These images were taken with natural light in an artistic setting. We played around the bouquet as a prop in these family portraits and had a wonderful time exploring all over Marin County for great locations for a family portrait backdrop!
