Well, this family is just the cutest and I had fun getting some shots in their backyard with their cute doggie, Taxi. What a great name. I was amazed we found some leaves on the trees still and took advantage of golden hour. Can’t wait to see some of these hung on their walls of their gorgeous home!

These faces! They are all so full of personality. Kingston, the little guy, wasn’t feeling it in the beginning so we all went and got a wicked slush 🍧or a Starbucks to let the sugar kick in. As you can see it did it’s job. Kinyatta is one of the most vivacious, cool and all encompassing love mommas I know and she gives everything her all. I loved photographing her and John and her tribe. Here’s to more sessions infused with sugar! 🍨

I’m pretty sure this might be the most alert infant I have ever encountered so I’m thinking that Miss Leilani might work for NASA in the next 16 years. I felt like she was staring into my soul through the lens. And….I just couldn’t be happier for Stephanie and Will. I’m lucky enough to call Stephanie a friend and I couldn’t be happier for them. The Covers family portraits were shot in the mustard fields of Petaluma in Sonoma County. I photographed them in an artistic style for a photo session in a local magazine called Historic Life of Petaluma. These photographs were shot photo journalistically and laid out in an editorial style with a write up of this beautiful family and the Foundry Wharf which is a warehouse district the Cover family owns down by the Petaluma River. The Foundry Wharf houses Aqus Cafe and many other business and boutique shops. Photographing the children was a delight as I let them run around their parents properties and shoot them in true photo journalism style which is how I think kids convey their true selves.

I was so excited to shoot The Smiths’s family portraits and in their grandparents gorgeous gardens. The photos look so clean and crisp with a touch of Monet. Perfect for Springtime. I love the kids portraits here as they are so sweet with their siblings and mothers. And why not throw your family dog into the photo shoot as well? In this photo shoot, we decided to keep it in Petaluma as that is where all the families are based. Such a happy and adorable family to photograph for spring portraits
