Getting to photograph weddings at Calistoga Ranch is always an honor but when you get the sweetest same sex couple that are the cutest and most hilarious ever then it’s a double bonus. During the wedding ceremony I photographed everyone throwing rose petals at them while they kissed and snuggled. I love it. The party and reception was outside and the wedding photography was shot using bouncing light so I don’t blow my subjects out so I try to use indirect flash as much as possible. Amazing wedding, amazing couple and I wish Tony and Oscar so many laughs for as long as possible.

If you are lucky enough to know Stacey and Laura then you know you are among the kindest people around. They have twin girls and were beyond elated that that their moms could finally be married in the eyes of the state of California. And believe me they had some rocky times. They had been married during the brief time period gay and LGBT weddings were legal but then the Supreme Court ruled them not legal and they had to go through that emotional hula hoop. BUT….this time it was LEGIT. And it has since stayed. And from the emotion of their twin girls…this is one happy family. Love you all and hope your life is filled with this much love until the end of time.

Lisa and Maya found St. Peter’s Chapel on Mare Island in the San Francisco Bay Area and they knew it was the perfect quirky chapel to finally tie the knot in front of their extra large brood and extended family and friends. It has this very deserted feel to it yet that day it was like life was blown back into this very cool church. And did I mention there were kids everywhere having the time of their lives? Between Lisa and Maya they have 4 children and it wouldn’t have been a celebration without all their kids friends as well! It was so amazing to be the wedding photographer at this festive very kid friendly event. I captured kids in their awesomeness which is exactly what Lisa and Maya wanted. Big kudos to this incredible family!

I love Bill and Joe. There I said it. You know when you meet someone and you just adore them instantly. They had come in from Ohio and googled San Francisco Same Sex or LBGT wedding photographer and found me and I showed up for their wedding ceremony at San Francisco City Hall and we just clicked. We had so much fun posing all over City Hall and then took a trip to The Japanese Tea Garden, The De Young Museum and Baker Beach to take more fun wedding portraits. In the end….I came across a rather large piece of drift wood at Baker Beach I had to have in my backyard so we all just hauled it back laughing our asses the entire way. Such a wonderful day! Can’t wait to visit you two in Ohio one of these days! xoxo

Look at these radiant sunsets over the Napa Valley–Just perfectly picturesque for your wedding photography. My favorite types of weddings are same sex weddings as I know how much they have struggled to have the same rights in marriage as the rest of the country. It truly is an honor to be a gay, LGBT, or same sex wedding photographer as I love the kindness and acceptance surrounding these extraordinary individuals and Julia and Paula were not an exception. Everyone there was so supportive and elated that these two can finally officially be married. Much much heart felt love for these two for eternity! xoxo
