Charlie was so excited to have his Bar Mitzvah finally after having had to reschedule it a couple times due to Covid. He had so much fun with his family and fiends after his service at Emanu-El Temple in San Francisco. The party was held at the Spinnaker Restaurant with jaw dropping views of the San Francisco skyline. I had an awesome time photographing Charlie’s Bar Mitzvah and the fun they all had together dancing and playing fuse ball and air hockey. I had the awesome opportunity of photographing his sister, Maddie, three years prior for her Bat Mitzvah at the Spinnaker Restaurant as well so it was a happy deja-vu being their bar mitzvah photographer once again.

Noah was so awesome at his Bar Mitzvah and Sheryl Denker Events + Design did a spectacular job at creating a baseball themed party at The Meadow Club in Fairfax, CA. The energy was super high and the donuts were gigantic (might be connected) but these kids had an absolute blast running amuck and dancing to hip hop blasted out by the very awesome Denon and Doyle DJ crew. Congratulations Noah you are awesome!

Iliana wanted her Bat Mitzvah to reflect an enchanted garden and The House of Vivid Designs made it into a reality transforming The Los Altos History Museum into a fairy tale. I loved photographing her Mitzvah and all her friends and family honoring this incredible time in her life. She is such a sweet girl celebrating her coming of age and it’s nice to see such happiness and love surrounding her!

Bela was so radiant in her sari as her mother is Indian and her father is Jewish. She was so humble and kind to all her guests as I would watch her go pull in a classmate to include them in the dancing festivities if they felt left out. She was always aware of everyone in her surroundings. Bela had her services at Beth Am Congregation in Los Altos, CA and her party was at The Stanford Faculty Club in Palo Alto.

Hannah was so lovely and her Bat Mitzvah service was filled with so much joy. It was a pleasure photographing her and her family and friends at Hacienda de las Flores in Moraga, California. Sheryl Denker of Sheryl Denker Events made the whole evening so colorful and vibrant with a balloon arch and props everywhere.

Paloma had to walk through a few disappointments as her Bat Mitzvah was rescheduled a few times due to Covid but she finally got to show everyone how hard she worked and all her family and friends came out to support her! It was a beautiful sunny day at Unitarian Universalist Congregation Marin in San Rafael and everyone was very happy as The CDC had just announced that people whom were vaccinated no longer needed to wear masks so everyone was mostly mask free and finally able to hug each other. I couldn’t be prouder of Paloma as she sailed through her Bat Mitzvah with ease and grace and the photographs show just that! Mazel Tov!

A stellar Bat Mitzvah at Rodef Sholom for Lauren! I love that one of the kids had a tattoo that said vote! As a Bar and Bat Mitzvah photographer I get to capture so many fun images of their day and there is always so much emotion. It’s such an honor to shoot these images and turn them into family heirlooms. I try to capture all the details and going ons in an artistic way but being a photojournalist type of photographer I prefer to shoot with a long lens not to disturb the conversation. These Bat Mitzvah images are memories to last many life times! Mazel Tov!

The Meadow Club in Fairfax is perched at the top of Mount Tamalpais in Marin County is unparalleled with their views.  It is such a great venue for a Bar Mitzvah and Samuel and his family had the best time.  Jayne Greenberg of Just Jayne Events planned the most incredible casino night themed and everyone had a blast gambling the night away.  Lucky 7’s were in the house and I hope Samuel remembers this night forever.

Dani just LOVES cereal and breakfast in general so why not have your Bat Mitzvah party theme “Breakfast at Dani’s”? So cute and there was cereal everywhere but let’s not forget the ridiulous yummy chicken and waffles that were served with Dani’s designer syrup. After a beautiful service at Temple Emanu-El in San Francisco everyone congratulated Dani on a job well done. She was so confident and knowledgeable and everyone was very impressed. Then on to the party at Terrapin Crossroads in San Rafael, Marin where everyone was ready to have some serious fun! The DJ was amazing and they had come up from LA to serve some kickin’ fresh beats for everyone to dance to. Jayne Greenberg from Just Jayne Events made sure everything went off without a snare and everyone had the time of their loves rocking well into the evening. Mazel Tov Dani! xxoo

This was the most amazing Bat Mitzvah ever — with an Alice in Wonderland theme, but of course they called it “Allie in Wonderland.” Just look at these Bat Mitzvah photography! These mitzvah images were bursting with fun and excitement. I photographed this with mostly natural light and then used an on camera flash after it got dark. There was a Mad Hatter magician and circus games under red and white striped cabana tents, and a silent disco where everyone was given headphones to tune in and dance to the playlist of their choice. To top it off, the moms did a mob squad choreographed dance surprise for the kids with a hilarious confetti explosion at the end! Booking a fantastic Bar or Bat Mitzvah photographer is so important so you have all these beautiful images as memories or to showcase your images in an album which surely will become a family heirloom!
