Getting to be a maternity photographer is one of my favorite things as there really is nothing more exciting than bringing a child into the world.  It’s such a fun creative time to get to explore ideas in your maternity portrait photography.  I love using natural light and if you can see the sun rays almost beckoning Desiree and Austin’s baby to come out and see the light, you’ll understand how magical light is.  We did their maternity session at a private ranch off D Street in Petaluma in Sonoma County and we had fun exploring the property.  We were about to wrap up when Austin says, “Wait, we need one more maternity photograph.”  Then, he goes over to his truck and grabs his hunting rifle and he says….”This is for all the boys that are gonna try to date my daughter.”  Both Desiree and I could not stop laughing.  This little one is gonna be Daddy’s little girl for sure!
