How much fun to photograph Caden’s senior portraits at The Barlow in Sebastopol. I loved romping through all the cool backdrops and outdoor areas to take photographs of him. And the bonus was we got to eat at the Fern Bar with probably the best fried chicken sandwich I have ever had. And OMG the fries!!! Ok back to Caden…he is so cute and easy going and 6 foot 5!! Love this kid! Here’s to your senior year Caden! Can’t wait to put 2020 behind us!

Everyone who ever meets Jacquelyn Davis Bordessa can’t believe how kind and present she is. She sees the positive in everything and it’s so infectious. She grew up with parents who love Christmas🎅 and blow it out every year so we took photos at Hotel Petaluma so we could capture the Xmas Vibe as she loves it too. Jarrod was game and we goofed and took off to the streets as Hotel Petaluma was bustling with people. We had fun with their kids chasing each other around the fountain ☔️ at Helen Putnam Square and then ended it on Water Street. Love this family to utter pieces and wish them the best holiday season ever. 🌲

Usually to get kids to warm up I have to try to act silly to get them to open up… but the Sarno kids have more personality than you can imagine. These kids are hilarious.We had fun romping in the leaves and cracking up at each other. Love the Sarno family and wish them the best!!

Look at this gorgeous family and I just love them to pieces! The Deerings show up at my house on a rainy afternoon and we start off inside as it pours down on us. Then there is a lapse in the downpour and we run around in the field behind mi case. Much fun ensues with their new puppy, Ember! Sam just moved to Petaluma from Oakland with his wife and his 2/12 year old twin boys. He found me by googling Petaluma photographer. So at least I know this blogging is working. haha. Sam was fantastic and we had a great time tromping through Petaluma shooting his corporate headshots. Actually, he’s going on a business trip to China and they are making a poster of him for the seminar he’s teaching. Go Sam!

I love shooting family portraiture in my hometown of Petaluma. There are so many great backgrounds for family portraits and children’s portraits around this historic town. The Low Family is a very artistic and theatrical group so we had fun doing different set ups in various areas around town.

If you haven’t visited Petaluma in Sonoma County in the fall then you should put it on your list and if you can schedule a family and children’s portrait photography session than you are golden. The fall colors are gorgeous and there are so many trails to use as backdrops in your family portraits with using just natural light. These two little girls are adorable and they had so much fun running up and down the hill we were on. The key is to make children’s portraiture fun so you get their little personalities at their best. Here’s to making memories!
