The Covers family portraits were shot in the mustard fields of Petaluma in Sonoma County. I photographed them in an artistic style for a photo session in a local magazine called Historic Life of Petaluma. These photographs were shot photo journalistically and laid out in an editorial style with a write up of this beautiful family and the Foundry Wharf which is a warehouse district the Cover family owns down by the Petaluma River. The Foundry Wharf houses Aqus Cafe and many other business and boutique shops. Photographing the children was a delight as I let them run around their parents properties and shoot them in true photo journalism style which is how I think kids convey their true selves.

The Bailey Family has no shortage of personality with these darling children which makes shooting their family portraits so fun and dynamic. I love how they wore flower crowns in their family portrait shoot and we walked deep onto the hillside at an open lot in Petaluma to take advantage of the verdant foliage abound. I mean look at these adorable girls and their parents aren’t so bad either. Renee is the sweetest momma ever and I’m happy to be their family portrait photographer.

So much fun photographing the Vallone Family in Petaluma in Sonoma County. I also got to use their gorgeous house in the historic district of Petaluma as the backdrop for their family portraits and of course take children’s portraits of their beautiful little boy for the Historic District of Petaluma Magazine. I love shooting documentary and lifestyle photography as I get to be a bit of a spy in other’s people lives for a couple moments.

I was honored to shoot beautiful Lani’s newborn portraits in charming Petaluma. Such sweetness to be a newborn portrait photographer! They are so beautiful and innocent and I wish I could just freeze time a bit to capture these newborns essence a little longer. It goes to fast so it’s so important to take newborn portraits and every stage of the way because when the time is over it’s over! Love children’s portrait photography too!

Digital Music Business Entrepreneur/Sales and Business Development Executive, Andrew Stess. What a blast it was working with Andrew! An absolute delight and so hilarious. Headshots photographed in Petaluma by Yelp’s top headshot photographer in Marin and Sonoma County. Andrew and I both live in Petaluma so it was fun to shoot his business and corporate headshots downtown Petaluma. We used natural light and he wanted his headshot photos to have a gritty artistic feel to them as the is in the music industry. I think he got some great headshots and I love the hat!
