Wedding in Petaluma – Laura and Zachary

Laura and Zachary met in Texas while she was working an an au pair as she comes from the French island of Guadeloupe. Zachary is from Petaluma, California so they hosted their wedding at his parents beautiful estate in the hills here in town. The uber fabulous, Peter Ruiz, of Leave it to Peter made sure everything ran perfectly and the decor and flowers by Jackie Dumouchel of Lotus and Lily Design were very french in honor of Laura and her heritage. They had so much fun with friends and family from France along with locals from Petaluma and beyond and danced the night away. Such a gorgeous sunset and evening and it was complete with a confetti exit and a cool vintage car to drive away in. Laura and Zachary couldn’t have been more in love and it was an honor to be their wedding photographer. I wish them both the best life has to offer as they go back to Texas to start their lives together.

Such a magical moment I got to photograph! It was a very heartfelt wedding proposal when Leonard proposed to Olivia. They flew out from Boston to Sonoma and Leonard surprised Olivia at The Fairmont Mission Inn Sonoma. Then he had his and her family fly out from back east to surprise her at a dinner at Tarla in Napa. It was a very emotional evening and I’m so happy for this couple as they are so beautiful inside and out!

I love it when a couple is so genuine and lovely that you just want to be friends with them afterwards. Allison and Addison are those kind of people and their family and friends are an exact reflection of that. What a beautiful wedding they had at The Lodge at Sonoma and the happiness and love was so vibrant I couldn’t stop taking photos. Such incredible details and the venue is just a magical place to capture all the bliss.

Hannah and Michael have been together since high school and they wanted Hannah’s sister to marry them on Tomales Bay in an intimate ceremony. They will do a bigger celebration next year but this was so touching and they had their dog Shorty and even a boat of excited fisherman cheering them on! I am honored to have documented their commitment to each other!

Caitlin and Nick chose the Montage Healdsburg for their wedding reception as they loved the swimming pool and view–You can’t argue that as it’s pretty stunning! I took their wedding portraits around the pool as the reflection was pretty dramatic! They were surrounded by close family and friends wishing them the best for their life together and after the wedding portraits were finished they all changed into their bathing suits and enjoyed the Sonoma County sunshine and took a dip in this beautiful swimming pool.

Cutest pandemic wedding story here 
Eydis and Tyler met on a trivia night zoom session. He lived in Miami and Eydis was visiting her mother in Iceland. Huge time difference but they still FaceTimed for almost a year until they met in person. After that, Tyler moved to Northern California where Eydis lives, proposed to her and the rest is for the history books. Love always finds a way. Eydis and Tyler had their wedding at Dillion Beach in Sonoma County and stayed the night at Dillion Beach Resort in a cute tiny home that was very similar to homes in Eydis’ beloved country, Iceland. It’s such a charming resort and their wedding was exactly what they wanted. They were on the beach with close friends and family and views that just don’t quit. Just like them. They never gave up and now they are together for all their days.

Wedding Engagement Party Lauren + Marcela

There are just NO words how much love Lauren and Marcela had not for just each other but for everyone who came up to the party to congratulate them. The love was so big that I found myself smiling from ear to ear as I photographed all the beautiful happy moments! And there were SO many I couldn’t stop snapping away. These two are absolutely stunning inside and out and they are over the moon excited to have met and start their lives together as are both of their families. I am so honored to have captured this beautiful engagement party complete with a Coachella style tent, incredible desserts, pizza oven and the most delicious paella you can taste. Everyone was so HAPPY to be there to celebrate at Marcela’s property in St. Helena which was nestled on a hilltop between vintage olive and oak trees. It was a magical evening and Arica of Events by Arica Grace turned the hilltop setting into a bohemian wonder of comfort and eye candy! What a night under the stars it turned out to be and I am so happy that this last year which was so hard to connect somehow Lauren and Marcela still found their way to each other. The proof is in the pudding they say and you just don’t get smiles bigger than these two have for each other. Big Congratulations and Love!

A lovely wine country wedding ceremony and reception at the historic Mont La Salle Chapel in Napa, CA. Briana and Matthias know how to pick a location. This little chapel in Napa Valley is divine for wedding photography and when you want to be the best wedding photographer in San Francisco a beautiful venue doesn’t hurt. It’s nestled into the vineyards on top of a hill and has European architecture to make your wedding images have a vintage antiquity to them. The gardens are so beautiful as well to take your formal wedding photographs or the couple portraits. Beautiful magic hour light comes in around sunset highlighting all the traditions so your wedding images reflect the magic of your wedding ceremony and reception. I love taking artistic photos on these grounds and the twinkle lights add the ambiance. Such a beautiful day for Brian and Matthias to tie the knot and their wedding photography in the San Francisco Bay Area. Lucky me to get to be their wedding photographer in Napa Valley, no less!

A truly beautiful wine country wedding at Soda Rock Winery in the Alexander Valley close to Healdsburg. These wedding images were so dynamic and fun to shoot in the barn with the natural light screaming in from all the cracks and crannies. Talk about an exquisite rustic backdrop for your wedding photos to be taken. There were so many emotional photos to take but mostly there was laughter! Kira’s Dad gave the welcome toast and gave the couple baseball hats to their opposing teams they are fans of. Then I loved taking the dance photos as Kira just rocked out in true rock star form with Jeremy cheering her on. You can’t go wrong getting married at Soda Rock Winery with their incredible backdrop of vineyards to take your wedding images and their rustic barn to have your wedding ceremony in. San Francisco and Napa Valley Engagement Session Ideas

I always get asked is an engagement photography session necessary and I would say a resounding YES! First of all it’s super fun and you get to connect with your fiance in a way you never have. And secondly, it really allows you to get to know your wedding photographer and the way they work. Then, on your wedding day you have that feeling of trust and, “Oh yes, I remember this!” It really helps you relax on the day of your wedding because you’ve done some of these poses and have seen the engagment session photos and know how it came out! So, Yes, Hire a professional wedding photographer for an engagement session before the big day! Here are some photos from engagement sessions I have photographed in the San Francisco Bay area, Napa Valley and Sonoma.
This engagement photo was taken at Fort Point right smack under the Golden Gate Bridge. It has spectacular views of San Francisco and the bay on the rooftop.
Fun and so in love is what this wedding engagement photo says and we took advantage of magic hour in the vineyards close to the Estate at Villagio in Yountville where they were getting married.
A Silhouette kiss under the Golden Gate Bridge when the sun is really golden is a perfect wedding engagement photo and one to frame for sure!
