Napa and Sonoma Wedding photography Moments

These emotional photographic moments are what make your wedding day authentically yours. They embody deep relationships over time that are so overwhelmingly filled with love and raw feelings. When I photograph a wedding I hone in on these moments and give them a life of their own to live on through a photograph for your family and your family to come. These organic moments are happening and I intuitively see it through my lens and frame it so it’s artistic and beautiful. I love these wedding moments of pure joy displayed through tears of letting go or new beginnings. It is my art and mission to not miss these but to bring them to you in your wedding photography images. I live for it.

The Mother/Son Dance at the wedding reception is so rich with emotion as she is so happy her son found his person and is marrying his wife but it represents the feeling of a new era and letting go of her baby boy. Such an organic wedding image that is so deep in meaning.

This bride listening to her groom say his vows filled her with such raw emotion I zoomed in through my lens and you can see the love in her eyes. She was so present and there with him even though their 100 + eyes on them.

Putting the ring on her fiance during the wedding ceremony just hit this bride with an organic feeling of love and the gratitude of being his wife. I saw this through my lens and I went in to capture this image to live on for years to come.

This bride was so caught in emotion listening to her Maid of Honor’s speech that she just burst into joy and laughter. This photo at the reception shows the rich history she and her best friend shared over decades.

The father of the groom is totally caught up in emotion listening to his son’s speech depicting a time where he saved the life of the groom whom was his brother. Words can’t possibly capture the overwhelming emotion he felt.

The first dance at the wedding reception. The joy these two experience together in their first dance as husband and wife was so intimate and happy that it was infectious. This reception photo tells the love they have for one another and speaks volumes.

This Father/ Daughter Dance photo is so poignant and special to me as Alicia the bride’s father passed shortly after her wedding. She loved him so much and was so grateful he gave her this beautiful wedding in Napa Valley. He had given her a diamond necklance while she was getting ready and you could see how much love the two had for each other. Capturing these wedding moments with my photography is one of the things that matter most to me as wedding photographer. They stand the test of time and it’s a gift for me to give these to my brides and grooms.

This lovely couple had their ceremony and reception at Villagio and Vintage Estates in Yountville in Napa Valley, the heart of wine country. To say there is the most beautiful scenery for your wedding photography would be an understatement. Look at those ivy covered walls framing the door perfectly for your wedding couple portraiture! The vineyards soaked in magical hour sun are also the iconic napa valley wedding images that are always so picture perfect. Look at Kristy’s wedding bouquet she made from broaches she’s collected from family members. I love the uniqueness of it! I used the faded murals as a backdrop for her bridal party portrait and her wedding portrait! I loved being the wedding photographer at Viansa as the grounds are so verdant with so many blooms I can use them for the wedding ring still life images or just frame the couple with. Such a fantastic wedding! Wishing Kristy and Kevin the most magical lives together!

Abigail & Ian came up north from Los Angeles to celebrate their special day at Mt. La Salle Chapel in Napa. We had so much fun with their wedding photography creating beautiful artistic wedding photos in the gardens. We posed the bridal party to look like a Vanity Fair Cover Shoot by Annie Leibovitz. Their wedding reception was at Viansa Winery in Sonoma where we had the most majestic views of Sonoma Valley with wine county in it’s magic hour sunset splendor! Taking their wedding portrait photos in the vineyard is the reason why they came to the Sonoma and Napa Valley region to get married so it was very important we didn’t miss the opportunity to get it highlighted by the son before it dipped behind the hills. The reception at Viansa was so fun and the wedding couple did the traditional money dance and Wonder Bread 5 rocked the house! Love this couple so much as they couldn’t have been more fun and adventurous!
