Meghan and Stephan were married at Highlands Estate Winery in Cloverdale in the Sonoma wine country. What was so fun about this wedding was they had a corn hole toss, giant jenga, a goofy photo booth, and all around shenanigans. I love it when the happy couple just wants to have FUN! And guess what? Their wedding photography reflects just that! I got to photograph the wedding couple in true wedding photojournalism style as they were constantly doing captivating things. Their special day should be fun, right? I mean why do it if isn’t? My job as a Sonoma and Napa valley wedding photographer is to be the couple’s eyes for the day and to focus in on on emotional moments and framed the wedding images in an artistic and beautiful way. These wedding images will eventually land in a wedding album which will become their family heirloom so let’s make sure to get them as glorious as they should be! Here’s to lots of crawling babies for this cute couple! (And check out the circle of red shoes! So cool.)

It’s really hard to beat the Villagio Vintage Estates in Yountville near Napa Valley for a spectacular wine country wedding. You can get the iconic wine county wedding photography as there is a gorgeous winery near these cool train tracks and at The Villagio there are wonderful backdrops for your wedding images too. I love photographing couples under the ivy pergola as it frames them and the wedding bridal party images look great with the faded murals as their backdrops. I took most of these in a photojournalistic style but some I had posed into a more editorial and artistic setting. Mostly thought I used natural light even for the toast under the moonlit skies with the twinkle lights. Such a gorgeous couple. Just look at the image of them getting rose petals tossed on to them after they said their I Do’s during their wedding ceremony. It was a glorious day had by all! Congratulations and best wishes for a wonderful life together!

Angela and Yuan were married at the coveted and iconic Julia Morgan Ballroom in San Francisco It’s a fabulous wedding venue for your wedding ceremony and your reception. The natural light that pours into the windows are so dramatic and the art deco details at The Julia Morgan Ballroom are so great as a backdrop to your wedding photography. It literally frames a couple in their images as the architecture is so intricate and bold. This was a FUN wedding. The couple and their bridal party literally danced down the aisle for the procession and their recession during their wedding ceremony. Such a fun festive group they had and I had so much fun as the wedding photographer capturing all this fun in downtown San Francisco!

These charming family portraits were taken in a couple of the most visually interesting Marin County locations: Cypress Tree Tunnel in Inverness, and the hauntingly cool Point Reyes Shipwreck in Inverness. So fun being a family portrait photographer and seeing the love between children and their parents. These images were taken with natural light in an artistic setting. We played around the bouquet as a prop in these family portraits and had a wonderful time exploring all over Marin County for great locations for a family portrait backdrop!

A beautiful and classic Jewish wedding ceremony and a reception with the hora dance at the absolutely gorgeous Emanu-El in San Francisco. This special day had everything, even the iconic cable car shot and wedding preparations at the distinguished Fairmont Hotel. Emanu-El has exquisite architectural details for your wedding photography backdrop and the lighting is divine. Mostly using natural light in these artistic wedding photos I try to capture the raw essence of the space using ambient lighting. These wedding images are beautiful as they are an artistic expression of the couple themselves and their Jewish values. A San Francisco wedding photographer can have so much fun shooting the Hora dance as everyone is so vital and excited to be a part of this epic traditional dance! You gotta move fast with your camera though as everything goes by in the blink of an eye. I love the hora dance wedding images as everyone is so excited and filled with this innocent joy! Abigail & Ian came up north from Los Angeles to celebrate their special day at Mt. La Salle Chapel in Napa. We had so much fun with their wedding photography creating beautiful artistic wedding photos in the gardens. We posed the bridal party to look like a Vanity Fair Cover Shoot by Annie Leibovitz. Their wedding reception was at Viansa Winery in Sonoma where we had the most majestic views of Sonoma Valley with wine county in it’s magic hour sunset splendor! Taking their wedding portrait photos in the vineyard is the reason why they came to the Sonoma and Napa Valley region to get married so it was very important we didn’t miss the opportunity to get it highlighted by the son before it dipped behind the hills. The reception at Viansa was so fun and the wedding couple did the traditional money dance and Wonder Bread 5 rocked the house! Love this couple so much as they couldn’t have been more fun and adventurous!

Lindsey and Scott had an incredibly romantic wedding and reception at Trentadue Winery in the Alexander Valley in Sonoma County. Look at their wedding photography! We had so much fun with the full moon and sunset wedding photos. I love the silhouette wedding photo of them behind their parasol right at magic hour! Gorgeous! Then, we decided to put the flower girls and ring bearers under her wedding veil for this iconic wedding photo. I love how cute it turned out! Such a fun couple and I was lucky enough to be their wedding photographer! Gorgeous couple and Trentadue Winery had the most epic spots to take your couple wedding shots! They have a rustic bar, train tracks and vineyards to get your wedding images taken in. Such a spectacular day for Lindsey and Scott and I hope their journey together is always this breathtaking!

Blaire and Conner know how to do this right! Their gorgeous wedding ceremony was at the quaint Grace Episcopal Church, and…wait for it…the reception was at the Culinary Institute of America in St. Helena, California. A wedding photographer’s DREAM come true. Genius! Not only that, but this wedding was on NYE and a Rolls Royce drove them into the sunset. Delicious all around. Such decadence wedding photography as well as their guests said good bye with a feather exit. Such joy as feathers fell from the balconies and everyone wish this sweet couple the best lives together forever.
